Case study Retail · Independent bike shop

Cycledealia.

Website, review card and email signature, designed and built by Web-Smart.Co for Cycledealia.

An independent bike shop with four quite different kinds of visitor: someone buying, someone booking a service, someone on a cycle-to-work scheme, and someone who wants a proper bike fit.

cycledealia.co.uk

Four routes in, not one.

Buying, servicing, schemes and fitting each get their own way through, because they are four different errands rather than one audience.

Home, above the fold. The hero imagery here is stock, holding place until the shop's own photographs arrive.

03/The collateral2026

A card that actually goes somewhere.

Handed over with the receipt, at the point where somebody is pleased with their bike and least likely to be asked twice.

A6 handout, print-ready
Cycledealia email signature
The email signature. Role-based rather than personal, because the shop runs off a shared inbox, and carrying the Companies Act disclosure properly: registered name, company number, registered office and VAT.
04/Method2026

How it was actually put together.

A QR that goes to a real place
The review card encodes the shop's actual Google review link, not a homepage standing in for one. That matters more than it sounds: a review card whose code sends a happy customer somewhere other than a review box is worse than no card, and it gets printed before anyone notices.
Two formats off one design
An A6 handout to go in the bag with a receipt, and an A5 counter standee, drawn once and set twice rather than redrawn per size.
A signature with nobody's name on it
The shop runs off a shared inbox, so the signature is role-based rather than personal. No individual, no mobile, and the Companies Act line carried properly: registered name, company number, registered office and VAT.
Built for a shop, not a brochure
Service and repairs, cycle-to-work schemes, bike fitting and the stock ranges all have their own route through the site, because those are the four different reasons somebody arrives.

Credit where it is due

The Cycledealia logo is the client's own. We did not design it. The shop interior photography is theirs as well.

The hero and lifestyle imagery is stock, standing in until the shop's own photographs arrive. It is neither ours nor the client's, and we are not claiming it as either. The manufacturer marks shown on the site belong to the brands the shop stocks.

What we built is the website, the review card and the email signature.
