Case study Construction · Diamond drilling and concrete cutting

MB Diamond
Drilling.

Website and capability statement, designed and built by Web-Smart.Co for MB Diamond Drilling.

A specialist drilling and cutting contractor working on constrained, occupied sites. We built the site. Then we built the capability statement out of the site.

03/The capability statement2026

Eight pages, no second briefing.

A4, eight pages, print-ready. Built from content that already existed and had already been approved, so the document says what the website says.

One page of the eight is not shown. It carries a testimonial from a named person at another company, which is their endorsement of the client rather than ours to reuse.

Two colours. Two typefaces.

Systematised once, around the mark the client already had, then used for everything. Restraint is what makes the print and the screen look related.

How it was actually put together.

The brochure came out of the website
Not out of a second briefing round. The site content was already written, structured and signed off, so the capability statement was built from that plus a client profile assembled from the same material. One source, two outputs, and nobody had to explain their own business twice.
Hand-coded, not assembled
Next.js and Tailwind, written rather than dragged together in a page builder. That is why it loads quickly, and why the service, blog and FAQ structure is coherent instead of being whatever a template happened to allow.
Forms that actually arrive
Enquiry and quote forms are backed by Amazon SES with reCAPTCHA v3, so submissions reach an inbox reliably and the spam does not.
Print and screen off one system
The palette and typefaces were systematised once, around the mark the client already had, then used for both the site and the eight-page document. Nothing was redrawn per format.

Credit where it is due

The MB Diamond Drilling saw-blade mark is the client's own pre-existing identity. We did not design it.

What we built is the website and the capability statement, and we systematised the palette and typefaces around the mark they already had. The photography in the brochure is the client's own, and several passages of the copy are their own wording.
